Encampment to Home: Venice & David Project

The City of Los Angeles is home to more than 40,000 unhoused Angelenos on any given night. This isn’t just a number - we are talking about 40,000 men, women, and children, each of whom deserves to live a life of dignity and respect. We know that every journey both into, and out of homelessness is different, and there is no “one-size-fits-all” solution. 

Each individual requires personalized support services, which may include mental health services, substance abuse treatment, legal services, employment assistance, job training, voucher assistance, and housing navigation. These are all of the components that were deployed during the “Encampment to Home: Venice & David Project.” This month we highlighted Alexander Townsend, who until this Winter lived under the 10 freeway on Venice Blvd, until The People Concern worked with us to bring him and many others indoors.
