JOSEPH T. GAUTHIER, ESQ.
Carthay Square Neighborhood Representative
Joe is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, and a graduate of Duke University (1989) who moved to Los Angeles 25 years ago to attend UCLA School of Law (1994). After ten years in private legal practice with some of the best known entertainment litigation firms in Los Angeles, Joe joined UNICOM Systems, Inc., in 2004, where he is now its Senior Corporate Counsel and Vice President of Business Practices. Joe oversees the intellectual property portfolio and helps implement proper and best business across a wide range and growing number of corporate entities of UNICOM, a global IT solution provider headquartered here in LA. Joe and his husband have lived in the P.I.C.O. NC area for nearly eighteen years and in Carthay Square since 2004.
An avid runner who has completed over 50 marathons in 42 states, Joe joined P.I.C.O. NC in 2014 to stay connect with the City after being treated like a mushroom (kept in the dark and fed manure) regarding the imposition of the looming Historic Preservation Overlay Zone that has divided the Carthay Square neighborhood these past few years. Joe can be seen around the neighborhood while out walking his dog, Sadie Boy. “I usually do not know the answer, but I know the right questions to ask of the right people to work the problem through to a viable solution.”
