Join your fellow community members and City Council President Herb Wesson Friday morning as we celebrate the new traffic signal at Pico and Burnside! This brief ceremony will honor our community's great achievement in increasing safety for students, parents, churchgoers, and others crossing Pico at this previously very dangerous intersection.

The ceremony actually kicks off an entire day of traffic safety activities at Saturn Street Elementary and Holy Spirit School. Students will be led on a field trip to the new signal where they will learn about its unique pedestrian-friendly features. In addition, students will participate in an LA Dept. of Transportation's Safe Routes to School program at their schoolyards called Traffic Safety City that teaches them how to be safe as they walk in our city.
