Go back to school and be a kid again while getting your hands dirty at EMA's Carthay Elementary Environmental Studies Magnet School Garden.

Join us on October 13 and help with gardening and school maintenance tasks as directed by Master Gardeners from the County of Los Angeles. Get your hands dirty weeding, planting, mulching, watering, harvesting, caring for animals, and helping with school beautification.

Your work will help support the school's mission to teach sustainability and environmental awareness to the next generation of Earth's caretakers.

 We'll provide the water, but please:

• bring sun protection, a hat, and clothes you don't mind getting dirty

• wear closed-toe shoes and dress in layers
