Help Count Traffic

Pico Great Street's Collaborative needs our help! If you haven't already heard, Destination: Pico is launching this spring. Through a grant from the city, PGSC will be leading workshops, distributing surveys, and collecting data to figure out what improvements the community would like to see installed on Pico next year.

One of their first projects is to count how many people are traveling on or crossing Pico by foot or bike. We're even counting how many people cross where there's no crosswalk - because, hey, maybe there should be a crosswalk there.

We will be counting Wednesday, April 5th from 7-9 AM and 4-6 PM, and Saturday April 8th from 11-1 PM. The job involves sitting in one spot for two hours and writing down how many people and bikes that go by. It's a small time commitment, it's easy, you'll meet some of your neighbors, and you'll be helping make Pico a Great Street!

If you are interested in volunteering, email Gerardo Reyes at greyesvega@gmail.com to get more information.
